Neils Brook Bridge (Cape Breton, Nova Scotia)

Project Details:
A 44.0-m single span bridge of 13.5 m width was constructed in September 2016 using Grade III straight bars and bends. A total of 20,000 m of Tuf-Bar GFRP bars were used (manufactured and supplied by Tuf-Bar Canada) in the bridge deck, approach slabs, wing walls and abutments.

The GFRP of this project included:
16,540 m of straight bars, Sizes 15 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm,
2,200 m of bent bars consisting of 29 configurations, Sizes 15 mm and 20 mm.
